    I always enjoyed the encyclopedia of dinosaus’s lol

    Edit, and I loved reading books about the solar system and the planets, that always kept my attention, usually something interesting to a kid, like space and dinosaurs, will keep their attention much longer than anything else in the form of a book.

    I’m not sure if they are too old for these, but I would look into the Mr. books, they are great. There are so many of them and they are all different.

    I highly suggest any of the Junie B. Jones books! They are so upbeat and hilarious. They are great for summer fun. Check the link below for fun activities that you can do as you read these books. These books are great for 6-10 year olds. You should be able to check them out at your local library. Have fun! Happy Reading!

    The first Harry Potter book, if she hasn’t read it already. I read it to my son when he was 5 so he could hear the dialogue and the different characters’ accents and such. He’s read them all now (he’s 17). It’s a hoot; funny, adventurous, mysterious, etc.

    Spiderwick is an awesome series
    actually, my mom began reading Harry Potter to me at bed-time when I was in second grade
    It probably took us 4 months to finish but I really loved them
    they really go me into reading especially when my mom said I could go see the movie if we finished them
    of course later in the series there is some dieing but it will probably take them years to get to those books
