I cry to this song everytime something goes wrong, and then I’m okay (after repeatedly playing it for hours). The person he’s talking about reminds me of my selfish, narcissistic, materialistic self. It’s was written for me to cope with my needs for everything and my attempts to hide reality. It’s really sad.
you know, just because I song says, all I need is a place to lay my head, doesn’t mean it’s bashing christianity, I am christian and I feel this song can be interpreted as christian and it can be interpreted as a reference faith and how you can feel left out when you give up everything for a belief then you get lost
