I had 11 brothers sisters and we all had a movie night. My dad and mom made sure we didnt do seperate things to much…Because they knew friday saterday everyone would not be home. I watch things with my daughters now too but we dont make tv our main thing. But we talk about the movie/show after its over all that stuff =D
We do still watch shows together, but the kids/teens are usually also on the computer near by at the same time. When we try to go to the movies, I, as the mother, don’t really get to see anything I would like to see with them anymore. But I go see some of the stuff they like, like I am Legend, just so I can relate to them, though it gave me nightmares~! But at least my kids know that about me – that scary/mean movies are troubling to me, even if they are funny to them.
I also think that there are so many movies that parents can’t wait to show kids, and so they show them to the kids when the kids are too young.
But its part of the world we live in and I figure we should share what we can while they will still stay in the same room with me.
sometimes we watch movies together but most of the time its me in my room watching the oc and cartoons, sister in her room watching anime on laptop, and my mom downstairs doing whatever.
My family all loves CSI but we never have time when it’s actually on so over the week we record it and then on Sundays we all sit down and watch and episode or two together.
I watch movies and tv shows with my Mom, but I only see her on weekends if I’m lucky. I live in my Dad’s house with a live-in nanny. My Dad only comes home for one night about once a month because he works out of town, so there isn’t much parent stuff going on in my life right now. He’s a jerk anyways and when he talks to me he never has anything nice to say.
My little sister and me always watch tv together, I mean, there’s really not much else to do, lol. My little brother is always cooped up in his room playing video games and when he comes out I usually tell him to go away because he’s 10 and extremely annoying.
My mom makes Sundays ”family days” so on Sundays we watch tv in the moring as a family, then go to Church, the grandma’s for dinner and then home for a movie.
My eldest daughter and I watch Family Guy and *** and the City together, and Desperate Housewives, and Grey’s Anatomy.
We purposefully don’t have TVs in the bedrooms. If we watch TV, we pick something we all like and watch together–it’s more fun that way!
NOPE i watch alone
unless its a horror filck wit my dad X)
We don’t watch TV as a family, but I used to watch films with my brother. If I have children, I’ll consider watching films and TV programmes with them.
