I have used the book series exploring creation through_____ (biology, chemistry, and there was one more I can not think of that came before these two) they are very good.
I thought I hated science until I started using these. I mean, it’s still biology, and it’s not like I’m obsessed with enzymes now, but the lecturer doesn’t waste time, doesn’t give stupid examples, and sounds a lot like a nerdy biology professor so if I’m in a really cynical mood, I can mentally make fun of him. Well, to be honest, he’s a good lecturer, he just has a nerd voice. Nothing wrong with that ^_^
On the other hand, that’s a lecture course, not a book. On the other hand, you could get the transcript book. It doesn’t have assigned homework so that might also be a problem for you.
I don’t know what your situation is, but these have worked well for me.
Btw astroNoMy is the study of stars and planets; astroLoGy is divination based off of the positions of planets. The former is scientific fact. The latter is bullcrap. I made that mistake all the time when I took an afterschool astronomy class…I think the teacher thought I was trying to annoy him towards the end, but I was just having trouble with it for some reason. I wrote this last night and didn’t want it to seem like I was yelling about a simple misspelling.
We used the Apologia Curriculum from elementary all the way through high school and its been wonderful! I believe that it is the name of the curriculum that the answerer a little above me was looking for.
Just so you know, it is written by a creationist, and does a great job of comparing what the SCIENCE behind creation proves, not just believe it because the Bible says too. It also explains and lays evolution next to creation and shows how science really does not support evolution. Its really awesome, I want my kids to be able to see all the facts, not just one point of view.
