Well i suggest the spy high series by A.J Butcher and of course the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. The eragon series is good but if he’s looking for something to keep him occupied the Shanara series has at least thirteen plus books in its series.

I also recommend everything by Jules Verne, but especially Journey to the Center of the Earth. Verne was one of my favorite authors at that age, and Journey is still my favorite adventure story.
