Battlefield of the mind is just a basic essential.
Then, after you read battlefied, you can read other Joyce Meyer books, which are all great too, atleast the one’s I’ve read.
Like… I dare You and stuff.
I would suggest the Dammapada, a collection of the Buddha’s teachings preserved in the Pali language (similar to Sanskrit.) It is a great introduction to Buddhism and preserves texts from an earlier period, as compared to the re-translated Chinese canon.
I’ve just read a really inspirational book called Ultra Marathon Man by Dean Karnazes, he’s a runner who ran like 199 miles in one go.
I used to run so it kind of inspired me to run again but it’s not all about running.
It’s about motivation and endurance and about reaching your goals, i think you can apply it to anything.
Basically it’s made me believe that i can do what i want to do (my goal at the moment is to pass my A level exams) and just put 100% effort in and you can achieve whatever you want.
It’s a good book anyway.
I’d recommend it

Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu, translated by Addiss Lombardo. ISBN 0872202321
The Tao of Pooh and The Te of Piglet are pretty good, too.
You would enjoy Myles Munroe…
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff…and it’s all small stuff by Richard Carlson, PH.D.
I keep a copy in my Library and refer to it almost daily.

Morris Gleitzman Self-Helpless because you can take a light hearted look at self help and also actually gain insight from it too.
