They are by far my favourite type’s of books… only because Harry Potter opened my eyes to reading, and got me completely interested in them.

My personal favourite trait of a book is unmasked power… in case you were wondering.

Yeah, i think the Twilight series was a catalyst to the huge mass of vampire books recently published…Harry Potter for the wizard aspect…I enjoy them, but its def. not because the characters are wiches, vampires, etc, but because i loved the plot. Using these creatures as characters creates new directions an author can take but really its what they do that makes a book spectacular. I’ve read the Twilight series, Harry potter, cirque de freak, and loved them because they’re action/ adventure, mystery, and sometimes romance all in one story. good luck.

Fantasy books are my favourite genre but I have to say that I never really liked Harry Potter but I do admire what it did to the world of reading. I think when you’re writing about supernatural characters a lot of possibilities open up. You can write in a lot of personality quirks. Another factor that I enjoy is wittiness. If you have these then I’ll most likely buy it. Good Luck!

Vampires and Witches can be worked in together, but I think adding Wizards in the same book might be a bit much. I enjoy some Vampire and Witch stories (Anne Rice is one of my favorite authors) and have read some pretty good books dealing with different types of Wizards. I’ve also read, or at least started some stories in all three categories that turned out to be total duds. It all depends on how well it is written.

The only vampire fiction I’ve ever read is Stephenie Meyer (hasn’t everyone?) and Bram Stoker (Dracula is TOPS!). I liked both of them. I love books about witches and wizards, but not necessarily Harry Potter. So I think those books are good, I do read them, and yes, I enjoy them very much.

IF you dont want it to be like anything already out there thennnn why dont you come up with your OWN version of vampires )or use the ones from actual mythology instead of based on some book someone else wrote to make money. There are cultures where vampires AND witches go hand in hand. Like Gypsies. There r many others but you have to do your reseach. You can take that old myth and moderinize it and make it YOUR OWN! add what you want and throw away what you dont want and have fun!!! evil OLD wrinkled women with pointed noses and big warts are always in the back of our minds when we think of witches. Thanks to halloween and fiary tales for that. BUT also comes to mind is beautiful women with NO souls LOL (oh wait, they are not ALLLLWAYs witches! just with the B replacing the W nowadays. anyway have FUN

I live for those kinds of books. Lot’s of people love them, but others don’t. It’s just a fact of life. Not everyone is going to love everything. Just write what you would want to read! :) If you write about vampires, I’ll probably be one of your biggest fans.

I love fantasy books. They sort of give you this out of this world feeling, especially if you have a good imagination. But, although they are very, very, very interesting, NEVER EVER attempt the things that happen there. If you want to read those books, you should be very aware of the line between fantasy and the real world. I like reading these books but I don’t go around screaming Bibbidibobbidiboo and abra kadabra.
