    Go to Barnes and Noble and check out the BN classic section that has all of the great literature. Sorry I do not remember exactly what section it’s called… but they’re all the Jane Austin books and Ivanhoe, Little Women, etc.

    ok im not sure exactly this is what your looking for but the alexander series by valerio massimo manfredi is basically the whole life of alexander the great from birth till death with all the wars in between.

    the first one is called child of a dream.its a trilogy

    There is an entire genre called historical fiction that is nothing but fictional novels based around historical events. Here’s one of several enormous lists of historical fiction on the internet:

    If you need relatively accurate historical fiction, I recommend Sharon Kay Penman’s novels about medieval Britain,especially Here Be Dragons, Falls the Shadow and The Reckoning.
