What books would you recommend for early childhood studies?

How about BTEC National Children’s Care Learning Development by Gill Squire, it was published by Heinemann Educational Publishers in 2007. Its around £22
This had helped me with my BTEC National in Childcare and covers a lot of things from the ages 0 – 8 mostly but covers a lot about 0 – 3 years. Hope this helps
