Incidently, Les Miserables is not about the French Revolution contrary to what the person down below me says. It is about the Paris uprising on June 5–6, 1832. Common mistake made by people who havent read it and dont understand histoire francais.

If you feel like a long book, try Les Miserables. One of my personal favorites. You might want to get an abridged version though. Theres some really good stuff in there, but also some seemingly random and often boring.
