nero, cdrwin, winxp (nero based),
You can pretty much use any burning or recording program you want and (if there is an option) set it to data and (if there is an option)be sure to close the disk and (if there is an option) remeber to record in a single session or no multisession. There are very few dvd players that will play avi (usually called divx or mpeg4 players) but you can pobably get them very cheap and of good quality at any major usa retailer (like compusa).

Just burn the .avi files as DATA. The burn program will tell you how much space is used and what is left
Most home DVD players will not play .avi files but a few do.
Read the manual to see if .avi is supported on your player.
Any DVD burn program will do this, nothing special required.

Sure depending on the length ( but avi's are usually small files ) of them you can burn them on with just about any burning software...Nero for example... Just burn them as a data disc
