If mold is an issue... here are some ideas to freshen them up..
Sprinkle talcum powder or cornstarch on pages to absorb moisture. Books can also be frozen until you have time to work with them. Place books in a closed container with moth crystals to stop mold growth.

a book i have called easy does it says you can put the book in a paper bag with baking soda for a week and it should get rid of the smell. I guess you will have to adjust that concept depending on how many books you have

I used to work for ServiceMaster, and you may contact the one nearest you, as they have methods to detoxify smoke damage, flood damage, and I would think mold as well. These issues should be dealt with in the upmost delicacy, as your books can lose value in a hot second. You may look up The book guys, I dont know their web address, but they have a nationally sindicated radio show.
