As some may already know, the Romani people, or the Gypsies, were used as slaves throughout Eastern Europe and were treated brutally as objects throughout the late 1700s and into the 1800s. Anyone know off the top of their head any good books or films depicting their plight in more detail? I know dozens of books and movies on African American Jewish slavery, but none on Romani Slavery.
